Blending Of "Art" and Business

My law partner and I have been trying to get our website's google ranking up, so Badger (a perfect name for an I.T. guy) told us he needed "content."  I tried writing a couple of legal blogs, and they actually get some traffic, but I got bored with that.  So my law partner had the idea to try to write some legal songs.

Reddit liked the 2nd one, so it got some traffic.  That led to the local NBC affiliate seeing it; they are coming by the office on Monday to interview us, and they also want us to play on their morning show in a week or so.  The only people who would see it on the morning show are farmers at 5 a.m., but I'm looking forward to having the videos from the station.

The fucked up part is that of all the "real" songs I've done, all of them put together did not garner as much positive feedback as "Don't Eat Your Weed."  We've recorded one about Tort Reform that I'm holding onto for a bit - it's more for lawyers than the general public.

So we'll play "Don't Eat Your Weed," and your latest single, "What The Hail Is Going On," (about fighting with your insurance company when you make a claim).

My point is, this isn't glamorous art, but it's nice to get some attention.
